Who this work is for
Service members, veterans, people released from captivity and their families. An enquiry may concern rights, social guarantees, documents or the need to understand a decision received.
The availability of assistance without a fee is assessed individually, taking into account the issue, the available materials, the work required and capacity to accept the engagement.
How to begin
Briefly describe what happened, the question to be resolved and any known deadline for a response or action. Your first message does not need to contain the full history or a large document archive.
We will agree on which documents are needed and how to send them. Do not include operational information, unit locations or other details that are unnecessary to explain the legal issue in your initial message.
How assistance is agreed
Initial consideration helps clarify the task, any possible conflict of interest and the form of assistance. Subject to agreed terms, the work may include reviewing materials, preparing documents or specified legal steps.
Pro bono status does not mean that every enquiry can be accepted or that a particular outcome is guaranteed. The scope and arrangements are agreed individually.
